Insert Translation Tables Into Your Notes

Introduction
You can learn the translation of vocabulary using test-me-tables. All you need to do is to insert a new table, give it a title, then write the name of the languages that you will be using in the top of the two columns. You can then go ahead and enter a list of vocabulary with its translation. With test-me-table's 'Test' mode you will be able to test yourself many times until you know the vocabulary very well.

In addition to the regular test-me-table Wiznotes has a special type of test-me-table called a 'Translation Table'. This table provides the regular functionality of a test-me-table with the following additional features:

  • When you insert a translation table you will be able to select the languages of the columns from the insert table button.
  • If you have your chosen languages installed on your computer, Wiznotes spell checking will only check the spelling for words that you enter into a column that you have designated as being English. For example you could designate the left column for English and the right column for Spanish. The spelling of words or phrases in the right Spanish column will not be checked by the English spell checker even when the spell checker is switched on. However when you enter words or phrases in the English column they will automatically be checked with an English spell checker.
  • Translation tables also give you the option to designate Arabic or Hebrew as one of the languages. Wiznotes does not provide spell checking for these languages. However, if you use one of these languages the flow direction for entering text in that column will automatically be set to right-to-left.

Insert new translation table
You can enter a new translation table by doing the following:

  1. Place the cursor at the place where you want to insert a new translation table.
  2. Go to the 'Insert' section of the ribbon at the top of Wiznotes.
  3. Click on 'Insert Table'.
  4. Ensure that the radio button is set to 'Translation Table'.
  5. Choose how many rows should initially be in the table. You will notice that translation tables will always have two columns. You should enter a word or phrase in the first column and then a translation in the second column.
